During the Scholarship Sunday service at the First Congregational Church of Meriden on June 20, 2010, Nikki Woodtke (left) and Sara Murphy (center) were each presented with a scholarship award of $1750 by the Rev. Dr. John Clarke. Nikki is attending Unity College and Sara is attending Middlesex Community College. In addition, four camperships of $425 each were awarded to children attending Camp Claire in Old Lyme, CT. Congratulations to all the recipients!

                  Food Pantry Sunday - 790 lbs collected!

On Sun. March 21, 2010, the Christian Outreach Committee sponsored a food drive to help restock the food pantries at the Meriden Soup Kitchen and New Opportunities of Greater Meriden. Four years ago, a total of 173 lbs. of non-perishable food were donated by our parishioners, three years ago 309 lbs, two years ago 419 lbs, and last year 662 lbs. were received. This year, 790 lbs. were donated during the church service. Thanks to all who donated!
