sanctuary for services
First Congregational Church of Meriden held it is first outdoors
regular service in modern history, complete with Communion, in a
recently renovated alcove located behind the church on Sunday, July
2, 2017. This area has been refurbished during two successive Eagle
Scout projects carried out by members of Troop 10 whose home is the
church. Located between the towering west wall of the church and an
adjacent hill, it is shaded by a canopy of trees growing well above
the spot. The full service was led by Pastor Bruce Miller and music
provided by Music Director Barbara Mase using an electric keyboard.
